Welcome back to school 3rd Graders!!! This year we're on a learning safari! I am so excited for this new school year! I have enjoyed the first three days of school and getting to know my students! Each one of them is very special already and I am confident that we are going to have a fantastic year! The students have already shown how hard they can work by putting together our classroom library and sorting all the book bins. It was a big job, but they can do amazing things! It is so fun that I get to be apart of that! We are getting ready to start our first full week of school tomorrow. I can't wait to see what my students continue to accomplish this week. My classroom is set up and ready for the students to come and inquire and learn a lot in 3rd grade. This is a picture of the classroom library where the students will be checking out books to read during the day and for homework. We will also have our reading and writing mini-lessons in this area of the classroom. This website was inspired by a college course that I took while student teaching where I found that having a webpage can be useful in the classroom. We were only given a week to create this and connect the concepts on this website to family and community. I plan to continue to use this website for my students and their parents to access that is informative and also provides fun and educational experiences. To me, a teacher must have passionate enthusiasm and a love of learning that overflows excitement into the students and awakens that same desire within them to inquire about the world. They must become an expert on their student’s abilities and needs so they can teach in a way that reaches each student in their class personally. A teacher must create a community within their classroom that fosters respect beginning with their example and demeanor. They must be firm and consistent in their management decisions and facilitate learning and discussions that forms an environment of acceptance and team work among the students. A good teacher must be willing to collaborate with team members and respect each and every other teacher in their building as a peer, as well as a great resource of information. Ultimately, a good teacher works at all things with a positive attitude to reach their full potential and provide their best for the benefit of the students.

Meet Mrs. PriceI love to learn new things! One great place to learn is by spending time in nature and the outdoors with my husband, David! Any opportunity that we can get to take a bike ride, hike, or walk we will take it! I also love music and enjoy playing my flute at church and singing. I also love learning with kids.
