On this site I am able to look up lesson plan ideas that contain engaging videos, activities, and interactive fun. It is free to join and I can create folders to save any materials that I find and want to use again. Currently, I have been using this resource to find great videos and interactive activities to do with my students around ecosystems.
The Hive Society: Emily E. Smith (Social Justice in Literacy Education)
Emily E. Smith, winner of the 2015 Donald H. Graves Excellence in the Teaching of Writing award, is a teacher who teaches from a social justice perspective. She teaches her students to be critical thinkers around texts that are current and applicable to the students. They discuss real problems and real solutions. Mr. Dolph's site has been a great resource throughout this year as he provides many different resources and ideas to use in third grade. There are also many different math Smart lessons that link to the common core and a math map that shows the order in which he teaches different concepts.

On this site there are several problem solving resources that provide open-ended activities for the students to work on. There are multi-levels that the students can choose from.
Problem Solving Strategies: 3rd Grade
On this site, there are many links to different PDF files that provide problem solving strategies. I would provide the students with the problem, but not the "trick" or "strategy" to solving the problem...I want them to discover this and find it out for themselves. We can then add it to our strategy list.

Fountas & Pinnell Leveled Books
This is a very helpful website that has leveled book lists that correlate with the Fountas and Pinnell system. At our school we run the Benchmark Assessment System (BAS) tests on our students to get a picture of their ability to read fluently and comprehend. This site is helpful to finding books at the students level.

They not only have many kinds, but they also have many different forms of each kind that you can choose to fit your activity. These are said to help younger students learning about abstract concepts to organize their thoughts.
